Dear Workers, rest you deserve it.

It is another Workers day and yes, we get a day off. It also helps that it came closely with the Eid Holiday. Three whole days to one's self. What bliss!

I commend everyone who has had to work diligently and legitimately especially in the city of Lagos. There is an added stress to working in Lagos that can't be described enough, one has to experience it firsthand to understand.

Thank you for your giving your best at work, your amazing efforts is helping to building our nation and turn it a land we can all be proud of. Please know that you are encouraging someone out there who is going through challenging times. You might not see them but they look up to you. Yes, this are challenging times for the country, things are not how we want it but we thank God for where we are. You are amazing and I appreciate you.

I dedicate this poem to you all:

When the alarm goes off
At 4 am
No need to rush out of bed
No hasty shower
No need to tighten
Those shoes or tie
No fast coffee today
No toast on the go
Blessed body
Sleep on
You deserve
Every comfort you get
Twenty
Out of thirty days
You always toil
Sun
Rain
Harmattan
All you ensured
Today
Is the official day of rest
And surely
It will be well spent
It will be duly allocated
Each sector
Adequately provided for
Increased care
Better treatment
I know you will
Scream for more attention
I promise
My best would I do
To make sure you do not lack
Be careful
Not to overdo
Because tomorrow
We continue
This lively struggle of life
Dancing to the tune
Of the Piper
Until we get hold
Of the Pipe.
